The NBA Finals are finally upon us and we can see if the Toronto Raptors have what it takes to knock out the two-time defending champions, Golden State Warriors. Or will Steph Curry and the Warriors prove once again that they are the best team in the world?
Can the Warriors win without Kevin Durant and DeMarcus Cousins? How will Draymond Green play on Kawhi Leonard? Can the Raptors bench continue to stay hot and surprise us all by beating the Warriors?
Before we get to the Finals predictions, let’s recap how we got here and the round by round predictions of each playoff series. You can also tell us what you thought of the Conference Finals and the predictions that we gave you here.
Let’s also take a look back at preseason and see who predicted the NBA Finals right? Cause there was only one of us who did that, and it was Mickayeen. You could get a full recap of all the playoff predictions round by round that Fourth Quarter Sports’ predicted during the preseason here.
But did you enjoy watching the Conference Finals? I mean the Blazers excited us all when they had double-digit leads in the first half of three of the four games, but they couldn’t hold on to win any game.
The Milwaukee Bucks looked dominated after going up 2-0 against the Toronto Raptors. It was the 10th win in 11 games for the Bucks, but that was also the last win of this season. The Raptors figured out how to slow down Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks for four straight wins as Kawhi Leonard and the Raptors took care of business late in games.
So now our finals matchup is:
Who you got winning this one? Let’s see what Fourth Quarter Sports thinks about this series!
Rahim’s picks: 2. Raptors over 1. Warriors in six
Aman’s picks: 1. Warriors over 2. Raptors in six
Joel’s picks: 1. Warriors over 2. Raptors in five
Adam’s picks: 1. Warriors over 2. Raptors in five
Dan’s picks: 1. Warriors over 2. Raptors in six
Yes, I just did it! I am picking the Warriors to LOSE in the NBA Finals against Kawhi Leonard. Let me be honest for a moment, I am absolutely tired of seeing the Golden State Warriors win the NBA title, I believe this could be the last run at it too with Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and DeMarcus Cousins all heading into free agency this summer.
But aside from that, Leonard is playing on another world right now. He is out to prove that he is the best in the world and this is the one matchup he’s been waiting for all season long. The last time Warriors and Leonard met in the playoffs was the second round in 2017 that saw Leonard get injured and miss an entire season. So you know he wants to come back and beat them.
The Raptors have a slim chance of doing the unthinkable especially if Warriors’ Kevin Durant doesn’t play in a few games this series. Despite the Warriors being 6-0 without Durant this postseason, they could use all the weapons they have to beat Raptors and Durant is one of the biggest ones they have.
Can the Raptors really pull off this upset? Will Kawhi once again be the reason we don’t see a three-peat? Can Klay Thompson prove the critics wrong about him being a snubbed from the all-NBA teams? How about what decisions will be made in free agency?
Comment below and let’s talk about how you feel about any of these questions!
